CAST RESIN POWER DRY-TYPE TRANSFORMERS WITH ALL-AROUND PROTECTION

The transformers meet IEC – 76, ÃÎÑÒ 30297,
ÒÓ Ó3.49 – 00213440-059-2002 standard requirements

Cast resin dry-type transformers with Geofol cast insulation windings are power down-step three-phase double-winding transformers of general purposes with rating power from 100 to 2500 kVA for voltage up to 10 kV.

The transformers are used in many branches of national economy and intended for electric power transformation in electricity supply three-phase alternating currånt with 50 Hz frequency networks. The transformers are installed in industrial and public buildings with strict requirements for fire, explosion and environmental safety. The transformers are equipped with Siemens windings.

The transformers meet the IEC-76 standard requirements; their production process is certified in accordance with ISO 9001 system.

Notation Conventions

ÒÑÇÃË-Õ/10 Ó3

ÒÑ – three-phase dry-type transformer,

Ç – natural air cooling at protected modification,

ÃË – Geofol cast epoxy windings insulation,

Õ – rated power, kVA,

Ó3 – climatic modification and allocation category according to ÃÎÑÒ 15150-69.

Specification

Cast resin dry-type transformers rating from 100 tî 2500 kVÀ are manufactured with rated primary winding (HV) voltage up to 10 kV and secondary winding (LV) voltage rating up to 0.4 kV.

The main HV/LV windings connection schemes and groups are D/Yn-11; Y/Yn–0.

Voltage is regulated by without excitation switching by means of the tap changer at 2õ2,5% Un.

Operating Condition

  • Temperature of ambient air: from -25Ñ to +40Ñ;
  • Relative air humidity: not more than 80% at +25Ñ;
  • Altitude above sea level: not more than 1000 m;
  • Ambient medium is to be not highly explosive and not containing current-conductive dust.

Transformers construction

The transformers consist of following assembly units:

  • a magnetic core;
  • windings fastened onto the magnetic core (active part of it);
  • outcoming lines (inputs, HV and LV bus-bars);
  • a protective cover.

The magnetic core is made of high-quality electrotechnical steel. Special cut by Georg line and assembly methods using bands, tie rods and special glues guarantee little no-load and noise level loss. Organosilicon paints are used for corrosion protection.

LV windings are made of aluminum or electrosheet copper.

HV windings are made of both coil and cross-over types, depending on power and voltage.

High quality vacuum pouring technology, baking in special electrotechnical ovens with special temperature program guarantee stable windings quality, high resistance to short circuit currents.

Winding heat resistance class is F, the windings are painted in brown.

Transformers are manufactured with protection level IP00 and IP20 (with the cover).

Transformers with the cover are made of the following modifications (to meet the customer’s request):

  • with a possibility of power cable connection through the bottom of the casing;
  • with LV and HV bus-bar outcoming lines on the narrow sides of the transformers (left, right);
  • with HV and LV bus-bar outcoming lines through the transformer lid.

Protective casings guarantee the access to the transformer through the mountable panels on the long side of the transformer.

Overall and mounting dimensions and the transformer weight are given in the applications.

On the customer’s request transformers with different parameters and of any construction modification can be produced.

Delivery complete set

The delivery complete set includes: transformer, thermosignalling device with thermocouples, technical documentation (passport, specification, storing, installation and exploitation instructions). Providing the transformers with flexible 0,3 mm foil connections is also possible for LV winding outcoming lines connection to busbar bridges.

An order formulation

It is necessary to mention in the order: transformer type, rated power, HV and LV rated voltage, winding connection scheme and group, ÃÎÑÒ or ÒÓ number.

For example: Òransformer ÒÑÃË – 630/10Ó1, 6/0.4 D/Yn-11, ÒÓ Ó3.49 – 00213440-059-2002.

Transformers overload capacity

If ÒÑ(Ç)ÃË transformer operating condition is fulfilled it can operate for a short time period when overloaded without operating life reduction. The overload confines in windings overheating. The maximum redundant temperature +100C for F-insulation class is reached only at + 40C ambient temperature and the transformer operates for a long time at the rated loading. If ambient temperature is lower than + 40C and (or the previous loading is less than 100% of the rated loading), the windings temperature does not reach the permissible maximum. This temperature difference can be used for a short-time overloading. The duration of the possible overloading is shown in the charts below as a function of the previous loading and the overloading value. The charts are applied for the ÒÑ(Ç)ÃË transformers with rating output power from 50 to 2500 kVA. If the redundant temperature reaches +100Ñ and the transformer is overloaded for longer than permissible period time the temperature control system sets on alert or switches off the transformer.
